I knew today was going to be a good day because it’s Thursday, which means it’s almost Friday, and I have awesome weekend plans.
However, my morning became significantly brighter when I received an email from Jared Koch, author of Clean Plates, an awesome Zagats-esque guide reviewing over 400 healthy restaurants in Manhattan. Not only is the shiny new 2011 version of this book just out, but his website has gotten a ridiculous facelift–and the result is STUNNING.
Picture this: You’re looking to find a tasty yet healthy restaurant for you and a bunch of your friends. With a gazillion choices in NYC, which restaurant are you going to pick? Just log onto CleanPlates.com, choose whether you’re a carnivore, vegetarian, vegan, raw-foodist, or vegan, select your locale (Brooklyn & Queens coming soon), and voila! You have a list of author tested-and approved-restaurants to chow down at.
I can’t tell you how excited I am for this site. Of course I own the guide, but in an effort to keep my purse lighter I usually don’t carry it around. Now I have CleanPlates.com all the time. This couldn’t be better timing, since I’m moving out of New York this summer. I plan on spending the next nine months eating my way through every healthy restaurant this city has got!
And by the way, if you decide to order the new Clean Plates 2011, for the next 24 hours you’ll get 20% off the book. Just enter THANKS at checkout. (Perfect holiday gift, anyone?)
Thanks, Jared & Clean Plates team!
